Clément Diez

Name: Clément Diez

Place of birth: Paris

Place of residence: Basel

Education: Schola cantorum Basiliensis

Works:

_ I was the second oboe of the European Union Baroque Orchestra in 2018

_ I regularly play with Capriccio Barockorchester Basel and Freitagsakademie Bern

_ I’m very interested in historically informed performance of the classical and romantic orchestral repertoire and was lucky enough to play among others with Ronald Brautigam and Alexis Kossenko, two wonderful and inspiring musicians in this field

Dream project/work:

I would love to be a fix member in an orchestra and to be able to play the orchestral repertoire from Lully to Wagner

Here I find the inspiration:

I pay attention to the musical ideas of as many musicians as possible and learn about the historical and artistic context of the works I play

Vadstena-Akademien to me is:

Terra incognita, so far I’ve never been in Sweden and I am delighted to get to know the other musicians.
