The summer 2020 we will produce the opera "Zebran " by Tebogo Monnakgotla and Kerstin Perski and Kammarmusik-Akademien and concerts.

Costume assistants
June 8 – Aug 11

Description
As a costume assistant 2020 you will produce the costumes for "Zebran", under the guidance of our head of costume, Sanna Holmqvist. One of the costume assistants will stay throughout the performance period to work with maintenance of the costumes. As an applicant you are expected to have documented relevant experiences from studies or work within the area.

Wig and make-up assistant
June 8 – Aug 11
Description
As a wig and make-up assistant you will work closely with your mentor, our wig and make-up designer, to produce the wigs and make-up for "Zebran". During the performances you will be responsible for overall maintenance as well as assisting the performers. As an applicant you are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies or work within the area.

Stage assistant

Description
As a stage assistant you are responsible together with your mentor for developing and producing the stage set, props and other attributes needed, decor painting, assemble needed material, patination and other tasks necessary to produce the stage set for "Zebran". The main focus this year is on attributes, props and sculpturing. Stage assistants are also performance responsible, hence in charge of safety, routines and overall maintenance during performances, under the guidance of the stage manager. As an applicant to this position you are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies and work within the area.

Light assistant

Description
As a light assistant you work closely with your mentor, the light designer to design and produce the light for "Zebran". During the performances you are also expected to run the light. Stage directors assistant
June 15 – Aug 11
Description
As a stage directors assistant you work closely with your mentor, the stage director. You will assist the stage director in day to day tasks, such as schedule, taking notes during rehearsals, coordinating everything involved in the production. In short, you will be the right hand to the stage director. The position offers an interesting mixture of practical and artistic topics, allowing you to get a close understanding of a stage directors work. As an applicant to this position you are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies and work within the area.

Orchestra

Description
Modern instruments. As a member of the orchestra you will work together with your mentor, the conductor Emil Eliasson on the music of "Zebran". Moreover you will take part in one or two additional concerts given in Vadstena. Further information concerning these concerts will be provided later on. Description
As a participator of the Kammarmusik-Akademien you will develop your ensemble work together with the professional ensemble "Vadstenasolisterna" Your mentors, "Vadstenasolisterna" have a background as alumni at Vadstena-Akademien. This year we search for:
Violin, viola, Violoncello, double bass, harp, percussion, oboe,
bassoon, clarinet, horn, trumpet, trombone and accordeon.

Production planner assistant
June 8- Aug 11
Description
As a production planner assistant you will work closely with our production planner, Terese Lindström, to assist in every day tasks as well as in more overarching issues. You cooperate with all professions within the productions to coordinate and facilitate. You are expected to have a great interest in production planning and the process of production as a whole. It is also important that you are a responsible person and comfortable with taking initiatives and that you thrive in a dynamic and creative environment. It is advantageous if you have a driving license. As an applicant to this position you are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies and work within the area.

Marketing assistant
June 8 - Aug 11
Description
As a marketing assistant you will work closely with your mentor, the marketing and communications manager to plan, produce and execute marketing strategies, material and sales initiatives. You will help to produce marketing materials such as ads and posters, assist in the development of the program book, produce programs for concerts, update social media and webpage et.c. We expect you to have a great interest for marketing and communications, be comfortable in leading your own projects and taking initiatives for new ideas. It is advantageous if you have experience from working with InDesign, web publications, social media and are fluent in English and Swedish. Driver license is also a merit. As an applicant to this position you are expected to have documented relevant experience from studies and work within the area.

Project assistants / foyer
June 15 - Aug 11
Description
As a project assistant you will play an important part both for the productions, performances and for the audiences. You will work with the entire production team and your closest mentor will be the sales and foyer manager. Your tasks will vary from day to day, including among other tasks: marketing activities, setting up and maintenance of the foyer, sales and customer service before, during and after performances and an overall support. You have an interest for service and the ability to take your own initiatives and you are a responsible person. It is a merit if you have a driving license or have experience from café/sales and that you perform well under pressure.

Soup kitchen assistants
July 1 - Aug 7
Description
A couple of weeks before the opening night we start our soup kitchen where participants can gather for a common dinner together after repetition days. As a soup kitchen assistant you are responsible for cooking the food for these evenings. You will be responsible for setting and keeping a budget, deciding on recipes, purchase and cooking of the food and caring for overall maintenance of the kitchen and dinner area. Your mentor is the office manager. The dinners have become a possibility for gathering and having fun and you will be a key person in enabling this to happen. It is a merit if you have a driving license.
