Education: Violin and viola studies with Michelle Makarski and Claus Myrup at Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark and masterclasses with e.g. Priya Mitchell and Ivry Gitlis. 

 

Roles/projects/works in selections: 

As a baroque viola player I have played with ensembles such as Camerata Øresund, Holland Baroque, Arte Dei Suonatori and for a couple of years I have been a member of Concerto Copenhagen. 

 

Dream role/project/work: 

I already do quite a lot of dream projects with the ensembles I play with. And I look forward to all my future projects. Right now it is actually a long time dream for me coming true: Playing the baroque violin in an baroque opera production.

 

Here I find inspiration: 

• From the musical leaders or colleagues of the projects I do. 

• From books, recordings, conversations and of course concerts.  

• I also feel greatly inspired by the often very beautiful places I play like here in Vadstena.

Vadstena-Akademien to me is:

• A great opportunity for me to play violin for a longer period of time, and I am learning a lot from the musical leader and the concertmaster here. 

• A look into the “machinery” of an opera production. You get to see the actual work behind, in front of and on the stage. You really realize how each and every single person is important for this to succeed.

• An absolutely beautiful place to spend the summer!
