Vadstena Academy is an academy for artistic development for opera singers, musicians and other professions in opera such as lighting designer, tailors and technisians. Beyond the opera performances Vadstena Academy give concerts, seminars and lectures. Most people know Vadstena Academy as an acacemy for singers. Hundreds of singers have participated since the beginning in 1964, for example Malena Ernman, Loa Falkman and Anne Sofie von Otter. They all participated in the beginning of their careers. The participation at Vadstena Academy gives the participants a unique experience.
